We've created a new line of downpipes to give people on a budget a cheaper option than our $275 downpipes.  Like our other downpipes, our new economy downpipe will eliminate the most restrictive point in your Monte Carlo's exhaust system. The factory downpipe is even more restrictive than it looks since the bend is double-walled, which results in an actual diameter around 2". Our 2.5" or 3" downpipes will signifcantly increase the potential flow for your exhaust, which allows your engine to breathe better and decreases knock.
These downpipes are made to fit the 1998-1999 Monte Carlo's equipped with the 3800 engine, but they will also allow a direct-fit downpipe for those who do 3800 supercharged swaps into any 1995-1999 monte carlo, or similar "pre-gen" w-body.

Our economy downpipes feature a stainless flex section, lazer-cut mild steel flanges, T409 stainless steel tubing, and a Thunderbolt catalytic converter is optional.

Due to the less available tubing for the economy downpipes, lead-times are significantly longer than the T304 versions.    Typical lead times are 2-4 months.  If you are in a hurry at all, get the T304 downpipe.
