Introduced in the 2005 in the Pontiac GXP, this massive front-wheel-drive powerplant is rated at a whopping 303hp and 323ft-lbs. The engine is also equipped with GM's Displacement on Demand system. DOD shuts down up to 4 cylinders during cruising situations to improve fuel economy. This engine powers the 2005+ GXP, 2006+ Monte Carlo SS, and 2006+ Impala SS
