Our new 304 Stainless Steel downpipes will eliminate the most restrictive point in your "Pre-gen" W-body's exhaust system. The factory downpipe is even more restrictive than it looks since the bend is double-walled, which results in an actual diameter around 2". Our 2.5" or 3" downpipes will signifcantly increase the potential flow for your exhaust, which allows your engine to breathe better and decreases knock.
These downpipes are made to fit what we refer to as the "Pre-gen" W-body's equipped with the 3100 engine, namely the 1995-1999 Monte Carlo, 1990-2001 Lumina, 1988-1996 Grand Prix, 1988-1997 Cutlass Supreme and other similar models. Due to the fact that many of these vehicles had year and model specific rear exhaust manifolds, I need to make this perfectly clear that this downpipe is designed to fit none of those rear exhaist manifolds, but instead to retro-fit the modern exhaust manifold which is more universal and found on almost every 2000+ 3100 and 3400 car, and was used on some of the cars preceeding this, namely the late-model N-body's like the 1999-2005 Grand Am, 1997 Malibu, etc.  Building the downpipe for this rear exhaust manifold means you cannot use the factory rear exhaust manifold, but will instead be required to use this more modern, more universal manifold, which we offer as an option to purchase a used one at the same time as this downpipe.

Our downpipes feature interlocking flex section, lazer-cut flanges, 304 stainless steel tubing, and a polished Magnaflow stainless steel catalytic converter is optional.

Typical lead-time for most downpipes is about 1-4 weeks to ship out after the order is placed.
